 OLIVIA KODETTE as MARNIE 

OLIVIA KODETTE 

Olivia is an Australian actress originally from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. After four Years of training in both Theatre and Screen Acting, Olivia graduated and has starred in multiple films and her debut stage Performance. Olivia is known for her lead roles in short indie films such as Chloe, The Interplay and Jay, and supporting role on feature "When we were kids" . She is also known for her performance as the character Meg, in Michael Gows Classic Australian Play "Away" at the Gold Coast Little Theatre. Olivia saw "the Mires" as a beautiful opportunity to step into an important role and tell a story that is less told than others.

 JORDAN ABBEY-YOUNG as Dean 

JORDAN ABBEY-YOUNG

Jordan grew up in the rural town of Forsayth, in North Queensland where his family own and operate cattle stations. After watching Mel Gibson in 'Bird on a Wire' (1990) at age four, he realized he wanted to be an actor. In mid 2016 Jordan swapped the wranglers for Gucci and made the move to the Gold Coast, where he studied Acting and began his professional career working on a number of short films and gaining on-set experience on films such as ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ (2017). In 2018 he landed the role of Private Ron Eglinton in the film ‘Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan (2019)’. The Australian made war film was directed by Kriv Stenders (Red Dog) and starred Travis Fimmel (Vikings) with an all star Aussie cast. Recently Jordan has completed work on a number of independent feature films, a national ad campaign, and works in the entertainment department at Australia’s biggest theme park, Dreamworld. In between performing Jordan creates video content for the popular facebook comedy page ‘Angry Christmas Productions’, which has amassed 120,000 followers.

 VIVIEN WHITTLE as NIKKI 

VIVIEN WHITTLE

Vivien found her love of acting through the Brisbane-based Queensland Actor’s Playhouse where she studied for ten years. She has trained in various techniques, including Meisner, Uta Hagen and Ivana Chubbuck. Vivien has played a range of roles in Brisbane theatre, some of her favourites being Ruth in Cosi (Growl Theatre 2019), Cassie in Rumors (Growl Theatre 2020), The Comtesse in Moliere’s The Seductive Countess (Queensland Actor’s Playhouse 2011), and Anne DeBourgh in Miss Bennett: Christmas at Pemberley (Growl Theatre 2020). She created You Start Here (2013) and Living (2016) for the Short + Sweet theatre festival in Brisbane. These pieces aimed at creating awareness around queer acceptance and post-natal depression, two themes she holds close to her heart. Her current project is co-producing the play Plucked for the Anywhere Theatre Festival Brisbane 2021. The Mires has been an inspirational and important film for Vivien to work on, and she hopes to further her film career from here. Her present goal is to inspire and empower herself and others through acting, to tell important stories and to use the arts for a catalyst for positive change.

WILLOW VINEY as JACQUELINE 

WILLOW VINEY

At the age of 3.5, Willow began her acting career, starring in a commercial. From a young age, she has displayed confidence and a true desire to perform. Always comfortable in front of a camera, Willow truly loves being on set, shooting scenes and getting to know cast and crew. Although only 6 years old, Willow is keen to understand the character she is playing and works hard to know the motivation and emotions involved. Filming ‘The Mires’ has been an amazing experience, and she can not wait to be involved in more productions in the future. Willow is represented by Howell Management. 

 KATY OTTO as SEELY 

KATY OTTO

Katy’s background covers all areas of the entertainment industry over a thirty year period, from film and TV, to cabaret, musical theatre, public speaking and voice production. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Theatre and Performance, with a focus on Shakespeare and education.

 GEORGIE PILLING asPAISLEY 

GEORGIE PILLING

Georgie is an actor and voiceover artist with extensive professional training for film, television, theatre and radio. Some of Georgie’s recent work includes the leading role of Jess in the production Evidence, and work on set of the latest Baz Lurhmann film. Georgie originally completed her Diploma in Screen and Media at the New York Film Academy. Then went on to train at The Acting Space under the guidance of Rebekah O’Sullivan, an institution based on leading London drama school techniques. During this time Georgie also completedThe British Contemporary Acting Course with The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Other training includes acting intensives with The Australian Film & Television Academy. As well as numerous casting and acting workshops with industry professionals such as; Tom McSweeney, David Newman, Greg Apps, Ben Parkinson, and legendary actor Tony Bonner.
